Have you ever walked into a place and immediately felt right at home? Brooklyn Perk is an excellent neighborhood coffee shop where you can place a pickup order for your morning coffee, latte, frappe, tea, and cookies to take to your office on the couch or work from home in bed, depending on your situation.

It is not huge, but it is quiet with many remote workers on the average weekday. They have free WiFi, which is reliable, strong, and free for some laptop time.

The roomy interior is spacious. Along with selling their coffee, they also feature a Black-owned candle company with some fresh plants and lovely wall art. The owner is so chill and down to earth, and the staffs are excellent and accommodating.

Brooklyn Perk also has a great set of drinks available. One review said that their menu of drinks was eclectic & creative. They offer a variety of upscale teas, including French lemon ginger and white coconut creme, as well as specialty beverages like a lavender latte and a rose latte. They also serve non-caffeinated frappes as well as alternative kinds of milk.

Additionally, if you order a drip coffee, you will actually have four options for “which drip”! Pick from the Kenyan, Ethiopian, or other varieties that are being brewed that day.

They also sell candles with catchy names like “Concrete Jungle” for those times you miss pounding the pavement in the rat race every day. And what’s even great is that they offer gluten-free pastries.

They have a good amount of seating inside and outside, though most people opt to take it to-go. If you come by with a dog, they also have dog treats.
